For over two years the Woodstock
Preservation Alliance has been working
to prevent buildings from
being erected on the historic site of the original 1969
Woodstock Music and Arts Festival, in Bethel, NY. Throughout
that time we have repeatedly requested a
face to face meeting with the site's current owner,
Mr. Alan Gerry. We are unsure whether Mr. Gerry is even aware of
our requests, however, as we have simply been
referred from one of his assistants to
another, never being put in contact with Mr. Gerry himself.
So
now, this is our direct message to you, Mr. Gerry.
We have heard that the
Gerry Foundation has recieved hundreds of differing opinions
regarding the fate of the Woodstock Site.
At the WPA, however, we have hundreds of members,
and thousands of signatures, with ONE opinion on this matter.
The WPA would like to have our
representatives meet with you in person, Mr. Gerry,
to discuss our vision for the unique attraction
of having a world class Performning Arts
Center side by side with the historic and tastefully preserved
Woodstock Site.
