THE FINAL GENERIC ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT

21 June, 2002 -  The Gerry Foundation requested, and was granted, an extension to their June 30th deadline for submitting the FGEIS for the PAC project.

 

23 August, 2002 - The Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement for the Bethel Performing Arts Center was presented by the Gerry Foundation.

8 October, 2002 - The Bethel Joint Lead Agency for the Performing Arts Center approved the FGEIS for the Gerry Foundation.  A 10 day public comment period followed.

12 December, 2002 - The Joint Lead Agency issued their findings and created a provision in the town laws to include a performing arts district.

11 May, 2004 - The Bethel Planning Board unanimously approved the Special Use Permit for Bethel Woods - Center for the Arts.  This concluded the state's environmental quality review [SEQRA] process, and the Town's application requirements.
