Dear Mr. Hinchey,
I am following up on an e-mail request sent 3/4/03, pertaining to funding that
your office pledged to the Gerry Foundation Inc. for development of the Bethel
Performing Arts Center, Sullivan County, Bethel NY. It is stated in your press release of February 14, 2003, that
$180,000 in federal funding would be spent for this project.
The Woodstock Preservation Alliance (primary '69 Woodstock
Site preservation group: www.TheWoodstockSpirit.org) is requesting full
disclosure for the sources of those funds to ascertain the identity of the
Federal agency(s) to whom these monies can be attributed, and the amounts
allocated from those sources?
We are requesting that you, or someone from your office,
facilitate all necessary funding disclosure, which to our knowledge, is part of
public record.
