DEAR MR. LITTLEPROUD,
AFTER HAVING VISITED YOUR WEBSITE AND READING SOME OF THE SUPPORT DOCUMENTATION YOU HAVE PRESENTED,I CAN WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE WITH YOUR POSITION.

YOUR REQUEST THAT THE GERRY FOUNDATION RELOCATE STRUCTURES AND PARKING AWAY FROM THE MAIN PERFORMING AREA TO THE OTHER SIDE OF HURD ROAD SEEMS TO BE TOTALLY REASONABLE,AND ACCOMPLISHABLE WITHOUT MAJOR COSTS, THE THING THAT I FOUND MOST OBJECTIONABLE IS THE PROPOSED FENCE. IT IGNORES ONE OF THE BASIC INGREDIENTS OF THE COMPOSITION OF WOODSTOCK.NAMELY THAT THE FENCE NEVER GOT UP,WHICH IS WHAT MADE IT A FREE FESTIVAL ! THAT ACCIDENT OF HISTORY ASIDE, A CHAINLINK AND BARBED WIRE PERIMETER FENCES SO ANTITHETICAL TO ANYTHING "WOODSTOCK" AS TO BE EITHER LAUGHABLE OR JUST BLATANTLY STUPID. THE FESTIVAL WAS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF THE KINDNESS OF PEOPLE TO EACH,OF THE ABILITY OF AN EXCEEDINGLY LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE FROM A MYRIAD OF BACKGROUNDS AND EXPERIENCES TO MELD TOGETHER,SHARE WITH EACHOTHER TO HAVE TO QUOTE MAX "THREE DAYS OF PEACE AND MUSIC...AND JUST THREE DAYS OF PEACE AND MUSIC". I APPLAUD THE FOUNDATIONS EFFORTS TO BRING A CENTER TO BETHEL,AND YOURS TO HELP PRESERVE THE SPIRIT AND AMBIANCE OF THE EVENT . I WISH YOU BOTH WELL AND HOPE THAT AS WITH THE AUDIENCE THAT WAS THERE,YOU SHARE AND COOPERATE WITH EACH OTHER FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL.

BEST. JOHN MORRIS
